LONDON (AFP) - Malcolm McLaren, former manager of the band Sex Pistols died on Thursday in New York, aged 64, from cancer, said his spokesman, Les Molloy.
McLaren died on the birthday of his ex-wife, British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.
McLaren's health deteriorated sharply, explained the spokesman.
Powderfinger call it quits
The members of one of Australia's most-loved bands, Powderfinger, have this morning announced they will quit the music business. The band, led by frontman Bernard Fanning, told a crowd of media in Sydney that they would hit the road on their biggest tour ever, before disbanding.
